Judge DeSalvo

As I sit here before the people of the court, I am placed between a case between daughter and family which Anna is fighting for medical emancipation. I rule in favor of Anna because she is capable of making decisions based on her well-being. However, in saying this, Anna's parents must remain financially supportive for Anna. Sara was caught in the "fog" of Kate's illness and she was being a caring mother to Kate while putting Anna on the wayside. Anna's testimony cleared the minds of many when she stated that Kate was her true motivation for the lawsuit. Campbell Alexander was confident early on in the trial but as Anna began to reveal the truth about her situation, he became nervous, uneasy, and eventually collapsed.

The Holocaust

The Holocaust was an event that showed the true brutality and ignorance of a group of people that felt it was right to not only to discriminate, but to eliminate a vast group of people throughout Germany. Weakened and depressed, the greater population was in dyer need of a strong leader to pull them from the rubble. Germany turned to Adolf Hitler. He was a charismatic speaker and a brutal leader using the Jewish population as a scapegoat for the problems within Germany. He was tactical and methodical in many ways, however, he was wrong in more ways than one. The Jews did nothing to cause grief within the German borders, however, they were stereotyped and formed into victims by distinguished physical traits. In history, discrimination roots from ignorance. People must realize and understand their peers prior to forming an opinion about them.

Pride in Our Parents

My dad is a big guy. He is 6' 3" and weighs about 270 pounds. So in all reality, he is a pretty intimidating man. He had to handle an issue with a man in the youth basketball league. Instead of losing his temper, he remained calm and proceeded to remove the man from the building. My dad showed me that violence isn't the answer, but talking through the situation and understanding the problem is. My dad is a great person to learn from and he has taught my brother and me some great life lessons.

You must remain aware of reality and grasp the constant elements in everyday life. We must allow the little moments to amaze us and follow our dreams. We need to remain open-minded and willing to take smart risks. In doing this, life will reward you.
